Dometic Penguin Duo Therm Air Conditioner Shroud - PW

I purchased this cover for the a/c unit on my 1998 Airstream Safari. It is exactly as advertised, thicker material, and uses the same mounting holes as the original. What more can be said!

I lost my cover driving back from Lake Powell, measured my unit and went to search on the net. I could not find the exact size needed anywhere until I came upon the icon direct website. My unit is so old that the model numbers did not match up but the sizes were spot on.

I ordered the cover and three days later it showed up, broke out my ladder and had it install in less than five minutes. Holes matched up perfect and I could not be more pleased.

Easy installation. No drilling needed. My old ones was painted but I am leaving these white. I hope that they last a long time.

Product is advertised, feels much heavier and tougher than the original and fit perfectly.

We purchased 2 of these AC covers back in 2008. It took just a few minutes to install them as they were pre-drilled (in the correct spots). They look great. Well worth the money. As for IconDirect, I'm a little disappointed. On our recent trip, we lost the rear AC cover in the heavy winds in Palm Springs due to the fact it had cracked around the screws. After examining the AC unit, the plastic was still around the screw and the I found that the front AC cover had cracking around the screws and on the side also. I contacted IconDirect and they covered the front AC cover but would not cover the rear one under warranty because they couldn't see it because it was gone even though I sent them pictures showing the plastic still under the screws that hold the cover in place. So I purchase a new one and they warrantied the other. I will in the future, inspect the covers for cracking and at the first sign, I'll take pictures and get them covered again under warranty before I lose one. They advertise:

Two years ago, I replaced the factory shroud on our 19ft Airstream (Dometic 13.5K Penguin HP) with an IconDirect shroud and was delighted by the product, fit and finish. It is still as flexible as the day I put it on. I have been holding off and patching the factory shroud on our 34ft Airstream (Dometic 15K Penguin HP) hoping that IconDirect would eventually produce the shroud with the required drivers side air exhaust holes. I am delighted to discover that they now have that option as the factory shroud on my 15K is totally failing. New shroud for 15K now on the way! A Very Satisfied customer.
